Your savings objectives
We get a clear overview of what you're saving or investing for - short, medium, and long term - before anything else.
A clear, written review of what you're saving for, the risk you're taking, the fees you're paying, and the tax on your growth - so you know exactly where you stand.
Most people accumulate savings and investment products over the years - a couple of policies here, a deposit account there, maybe a child's college fund, an inheritance to steward. The pieces are rarely reviewed together.
The Savings & Investments Review pulls everything into one place. We look at the goals behind each pot, the risk you're actually taking, the fees being charged, and what the tax does to the growth - then we put it on paper.
You leave with a written Savings & Investment Report you can act on, refer back to, or simply file away knowing the picture is finally clear.
Organise your reviewYour Savings & Investments Review is designed to look at your money from four angles - together, not in isolation.

The Zurich Life Cost of Education Calculator gives you a quick estimate of what to plan for, based on your child's age and the kind of course they may end up on.

Deposit interest is taxed at 33% (DIRT, 2026), deducted by the bank before you see it. Deposits are protected up to €100,000 per person per institution under the Deposit Guarantee Scheme, which is why an emergency fund belongs in a deposit account and why anything above that limit, or that you will not need for five years or more, is worth looking at differently.
Gains and income in Irish and EU investment funds and life assurance investment policies are taxed at 38%, down from 41% since 1 January 2026. The tax is charged when you cash in, and every eight years on any growth even if you have not sold (the 'deemed disposal'). Losses on one fund cannot be set against gains on another and there is no annual exemption, which is why the choice between a fund and holding shares directly is a tax question as much as an investment one.
At 33% on the gain, after an annual exemption of €1,270 (2026). Unlike fund exit tax, losses on one holding can be set against gains on another and carried forward, there is no deemed disposal, and dividends are taxed as income instead. For someone investing steadily over many years the difference between the two regimes can be significant, and we model both before recommending a structure.
Three to six months of essential outgoings, in an instant-access deposit account, before any money goes into a market-based investment. That fund is what stops a car repair or a gap between jobs turning into expensive borrowing or a forced sale of investments at the wrong time. Money you will need within five years also belongs in deposits or State Savings, whatever the rate. Everything beyond that is what the investment conversation is about.
Figures checked on 5 September 2026 against Citizens Information (DIRT), Budget 2026 summary (exit tax) and Citizens Information (Capital Gains Tax). Rules and rates change each Budget; confirm the current figure before acting on it.
