For many entrepreneurs, the sale of your business is the most significant financial transaction of your lifetime. After years of building a successful company, ensuring you achieve the best possible outcome requires careful preparation - not just when you’re ready to sell, but several years beforehand.
At Eolas Money, we encourage business owners to develop an exit strategy that not only maximises the value of their business but also ensures the proceeds support their and their families’ long-term financial goals. The businesses that achieve the strongest outcomes are typically those that have invested time with their advisory teams in preparing well before going to market.

3. Running with Purpose: Brendan Walsh’s 112km Journey in Memory of His Mum
On the 19th June, Brendan Walsh embarked on an extraordinary challenge, running from the front door of his home in Grangemockler, Co. Tipperary, to the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork. Covering an incredible 112km over two days, Brendan completed the journey in loving memory of his mum, Carol, who sadly passed away in 2021 after an incredibly brave eight-year battle with cancer.
Through this inspiring challenge, Brendan set out to raise funds for three remarkable organisations that provide vital support to individuals and families affected by cancer: Care Cancer Support in Clonmel, Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford, and St. Bernadette’s Ward at Bon Secours Hospital, Cork.
At Eolas Money, we were honoured to support such a meaningful cause. Cancer has touched the lives of so many families and communities across Ireland, making Brendan’s fundraising effort one that resonated deeply with us all.
We were especially proud of our colleague, Leah, who joined her neighbour Brendan, along with friends, for a 15km stretch of the journey from Clonmel to Cahir, showing her support and helping to cheer him on every step of the way.
Congratulations to Brendan on this incredible achievement and for making such a positive impact in memory of his mum. His determination, resilience and generosity are truly inspiring.
