1. PRSA vs Master Trust: Key Differences for Company Directors
For business owners and company directors, the choice between a PRSA and a company pension (typically a Master Trust) is no longer straightforward. Since the introduction of IORP II, it has become a core strategic decision in retirement planning.
At a high level, a PRSA is a personal pension contract between you and a provider. A Master Trust, by contrast, is an occupational pension set up by an employer and managed by professional trustees.

Meet Julie Kennedy
Joining Eolas Money in 2023 as Head of Operations, Julie brings extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector. Working closely with the Eolas Money management team, she provides clarity of thought and strategic direction to the design and delivery of the firm’s service offering. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Limerick.
Julie is married to James and is a mum to four busy children who keep her on her toes. With a passion for writing, she has taken a creative leap into children’s literature, and her book Reuben’s Hunt for a Home is currently shortlisted for a 2026 Ink Book Award in the UK.

A huge congratulations to our colleague Leah Maguire on winning the Early Career Employee category at the Network Ireland Tipperary Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2026 and being named Interbranch Winner.
This is a huge achievement and a wonderful recognition of Leah’s dedication, ambition and achievements to date.
Leah will now go on to proudly represent the Tipperary branch at the National Businesswoman of the Year Awards in Galway this September. We wish her every success as she takes to the national stage.
